Head of Transactional Services This global law firm has an outstanding reputation for executing complex and high level transactional work. With a network of corporate lawyers and specialist teams in offices around the world, this is a unique opportunity for a senior candidate to lead an established team in Manchester providing high quality and specialist support to the practice. The firm's cross-border corporate practice spans multiple jurisdictions, and the team handles complex global M&A transactions of significant value, often around the billion pound mark. Manchester is an important hub for the firm's global operations and there is a well established team of expert lawyers in Manchester providing specialist due diligence support on M&A deals and wider commercial transactions. The team work primarily on corporate M&A due diligence, using first class technology and communications tools to assist in the due diligence review. For this lead role, the firm is looking for a candidate who can manage processes and embrace new technology. Because this is a management position, although the team will primarily be handling corporate M&A work, they will touch on a wider breadth of transactions and as such the ideal candidate will be able to handle a wide range of complex work. A corporate background or commercial contracts capability is the ideal, coming from either private practice or an in-house environment. This is an incredible role for a senior candidate looking for a step up in complexity of projects and the ability to work on global transactions. There will be full engagement from the existing team of 20 lawyers you will manage, as well as being part of a wider network across the UK and US and reporting into the global head. The key to this role as head of the team is having both the gravitas to lead on complex transactional work and a background in management of people. If you are looking to join an established team with a good culture and exceptional quality lawyers, this is a rare role with an opportunity to grow. Hard work will be expected and highly valued. You will also receive a generous salary and benefits package that will compare very favourably with regional levels. BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
