Environmental Associate - Manchester An opportunity for a solicitor to join a market leading Environmental team at a leading international firm in Manchester City Centre The Firm - International firm known for their technical excellence and expertise - Nationally recognised environmental team who have an enviable reputation in the environmental field globally - Wide reach in environmental work - International client base The Role - Working with some of the leading experts in the field, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of non-contentious environmental work - Advising an array of blue chip clients on a full range of environmental matters with an emphasis on chemicals, industrials and manufacturing to include; Chemical compliance, Environmental Permitting, Waste Management, Environment Act, Producer Responsibility, Site remediation, Transaction/project-related risk assessment and legal due diligence and Sustainability issues - Providing environmental and health & safety advice on real estate and corporate transactions - Drafting and negotiating environmental provisions allocating responsibility for potential environmental liability in transactions The Candidate - Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales - 0 - 6 years PQE - Whilst environmental experience is preferred, candidates with strong academics, a transactional background and a desire to specialise in environmental work are encouraged to apply - High level technical skills are essential, together with a strong client facing attitude and enthusiasm to build external relationships The Benefits - Fantastic salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work as part of a high performing, cohesive and busy team with excellent prospects for career development - The firm has a strong reputation for providing solicitors with early levels of responsibility within a supportive, stretching environment For more information regarding this Environmental role, please contact Nicola O'Hanlon at BCL Legal.
