Senior Contracts Manager

You will join a market-leading, science-led research group that is at the cutting edge of improving the built environment through research & knowledge generation. The products they create are world leading and they have an international client base across the public & private sectors. The business is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead their newly formed Contract Management team. You will play a vital, hands-on role within the business and support the Head of Legal in developing the overall Legal function. This position is offered on an initial 12-18 month FTC, with a high likelihood of the contract lasting for 2+ years, if not being converted to a permanent role. The Role You will lead a small team with full autonomy over the Contracts function and support to make it your own. You will have hands-on involvement in developing processes and mentoring junior team members. You will be responsible for ensuring the business gets the best value from their contracts through high quality contract management, ensuring best practice throughout the whole contract lifecycle, educating internal colleagues, develop and supervise the team of contract managers, building relationships throughout the business. The Person · You will be an experienced Contract Manager (qualified or non-qualified considered) · Thorough understanding of the full contract management lifecycle · Comfortable working alongside legal teams to ensure management of legal and contract risks · Able to think strategically and develop & implement strategies · Effective communication and leadership skills Based in Watford, the business fully embraces hybrid working, with no more than one day per week being spent in the office.
