Competition Law Solicitor - Private Practice - City of London We have been instructed by a Top 10 City firm, who are seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious Competition Lawyer to join their busy, and expanding, team. The Team The Competition team are highly sought after and have remained at the forefront of the market across the full spectrum of UK and EU competition law for many years, advising clients on a wide range of high-profile, and often ground-breaking matters before national competition authorities, sectoral regulators, the European Commission and the UK and European Courts. The team is highly experienced across the full suite of competition law issues including merger clearances, advising on and responding to investigations and prosecutions for cartel conduct, competition and consumer law issues, as well as advising on market investigations and market studies, misuse of market power issues and competition litigation. The team sits within a market-leading global competition and antitrust practice, with over 80 specialist antitrust lawyers across Europe and Asia-Pacific. The team are consistently ranked in the Global Competition Review 'Global Elite', which recognises the world's top 25 competition practices. The Role You will be part of the European Competition team advising on a full range of EU and domestic competition matters, including: domestic and multi-national merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, appeals of infringement decisions before EU courts and domestic courts, market investigations, state aid and public procurement. In particular, you will advise clients involved in the media and telecommunications sector. The Candidate You will have experience on a range of competition law matters (merger control and behavioural matters). Highly desired would be experience in advising on competition and telecom regulation issues for clients operating in the media and telecommunications sector/digital economy.
