Commodities Solicitor - Associate / Senior Associate - City of London - Private Practice International law firm has retained us to recruit an ambitious and talented Commodities Solicitor to help continue the department's strategic expansion. The Firm Global firm of market leading legal experts specialising in all aspects of commercial law, from non-contentious advisory and transactional work, through to all forms of commercial litigation and arbitration. The Team The team has extensive expertise in providing dispute resolution services, as well as non-contentious advice, in relation to commodity sale transactions, their financing, hedging, regulation, insurance and carriage by sea and in-land. The team has an enviable international client list, and its varied work covers the full spectrum of soft and hard commodities The Role You will advise on all aspects of international contracts for the sale of goods across all commodity sectors. You will deal with contracts for the carriage of goods, including charterparties, CoAs, bills of lading, GA and salvage issues. The role encompassed disputes before the High Court and in arbitration, including trade association arbitration as well as international arbitration. Some of the disputes are multi jurisdictional.
