Internet Law and Regulation is a new team, drawing together like-minded motivated lawyers with expertise across a broad range of issues (content risks, media, advertising, consumer, technology, IP, privacy, litigation etc). The team works for many household-name clients as well as fast-growing companies. They provide advisory, risk as well as contentious/litigation services across the team.
Unlike traditional law firms, they combine legal services and expertise with the broader multidisciplinary expertise to provide holistic/blended consultancy, risk advisory, legal, tax, risk, financial advisory to an unmatched list of clients. You would be part of the global Internet Regulation team, providing multi-disciplinary end to end solutions to clients.
The firm's clients are at a global cross-roads as law and policy makers bring in a wave of new laws and regulations aimed at regulating digital businesses. From social media companies, to app stores, search engines and marketplaces; all digital business will be affected.
This is where you come in, to provide advice and guidance.
You will have relevant experience either in private practise or in-house. Most importantly, because this area is new, they are looking for lawyers who want to develop their careers in this space - rather than expecting you to have experience across the breadth of the topics.
Ideally you will have experience of some of the following, NFTs, disinformation, online harms, infringements online, advertising and ad monetization, e-commerce, data privacy, platform liability, freedom of speech, data, AI, algorithms …..
We particularly look for traits such as innovative thinking, curiosity, energy and drive, adaptability, team-orientation and a genuine interest in the area, these clients and our work.
