PROPERTY LITIGATION SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE - 3-5PQE THE FIRM - Top tier firm, ranked in Newcastle and recognised as one of the most award winning firm in the City - Excellent culture and working environment, with brilliant flexibility and opportunities for progression and development THE ROLE - As part of the wider Dispute Resolution department, you will be joining the Property Litigation team - You will be advising and acting on behalf of both residential or a commercial landlords, developers, business owners and surveyors in relation to a range of property related disputes, such as possession, injunctions, breaches of covenant, access, rent review, dilapidations, break notices, service charges, effects of insolvency, rights to light, party walls, and lease renewal - Other contentious matters may relate to: trespass, easements, boundary disputes, restrictive covenants, adverse possession, rectification, encroachment and nuisance - You will be responsible for your own caseload as well as supporting more senior fee earners within the team on larger, more contentious matters THE REQUIREMENTS - The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with c. 3-5 PQE in Property Litigation, candidates with more or less experience will be considered on th - You will ideally have experience in both commercial and residential property disputes including: - Assured/assured shorthold/regulated tenancies; - ASB possessions; - Ground rent and service charge recovery; - 1954 Act lease renewals; - Dilapidations; - Rent reviews; - Possessions; - Service charges; and - FTT applications. - Candidates who have handled mixed commercial litigation caseloads alongside property litigation are welcome to apply THE BENEFITS - Competitive salary and benefits package - A genuinely inclusive culture, with an invested interest in your personal and professional development - Flexible and agile working - Full and part time candidates considered BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
