Asset Finance Lawyer (Yachts) - London

Asset Finance Lawyer - London BCL Legal have been instructed on a role in a market leading Yachts team in London. The team are looking for Associate/Senior Associate level lawyers to join their London asset finance team handling mainly large yachts and private aircraft matters and acting for owners and banks. The work will also include involvement in the rest of the team's transactional work (new construction work, sale & purchase etc). The successful lawyers will ideally have some experience working within a yacht or private aviation team, or experience of other broader, non-contentious marine or private client work or asset finance. The opportunity: - Opportunity to join market leading growing yacht team widely acknowledged as a market leader for legal services to the superyacht industry - Clients include owners, financiers, brokers, project managers and designers - The work will include superyacht and aviation financing, acting for both banks and borrowers in relation to term sheets, loan documentation, conditions precedent and subsequent, the mechanics of drawdown and impact on the appropriate new build / sale and purchase documentation - You will be advising clients on: o Yacht and private aviation contracts (new construction and S&P) o Corporate requirements (ownership structuring, board resolutions, PoAs) o Commercial agreements (design, management, service & supply, equipment) - Be involved with business development, interacting with private and asset finance banks and finance brokers and additionally and when necessary, potential clients, referrers and other intermediaries (brokers, designers, managers, shipyards, brokers), preparing marketing literature, client briefings and pitches etc The firm have previously won Working Families' 'Best UK employer for Flexible Working Award and are happy to consider flexible working opportunities to help you balance your work and home life.
