The successful construction solicitor will ideally have a bias towards contentious work although some non-contentious work would also be involved from time to time. You should be comfortable working with a good degree of autonomy advising on a wide range of construction and engineering related disputes. The successful contentious construction solicitor will enjoy business development and have the ability to build a strong rapport with clients. You should also enjoy training and mentoring junior colleagues, providing support, advice and assistance when required.
