- In-House Employment Lawyer
This very large scale, heavyweight, international business with tens of thousands of employees has a significant and sophisticated in house people function. They are currently seeking an employment lawyer to join the established and high calibre Leeds based legal team
This is a diverse employment law role covering a wide range of legal matters. You'll work closely with the HR team, offering employment law advice on contentious, non-contentious advisory and transactional issues. You'll also handle contentious employment issues and work closely with the business in managing and resolving cases. Furthermore you will advise on contractual matters, redundancy and restructuring, disciplinary and grievance, discrimination and equal opportunities and employment policies
You will be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer, with strong employment law skills, most probably gained in a leading commercial law firm or in house department. You'll probably need at least 4 years pqe to have the skills needed for this role. You will need to possess good experience of both employment law advisory work on the non-contentious side, and experience in advising on and managing employment tribunal litigation. There is a strong remuneration package including car allowance, pension, bonus and PMI, and the basis salary will probably be in the region of £50-55,000.
