Legal Counsel

A specialist business in the financial services sector is seeking to recruit a c.1-4 PQE Lawyer to joing the team as Commercial Legal Counsel. The business offers substantial flexibility in terms of hours and days, as well as full working from home with ideally one day per week in London to meet up as a team (travel paid for). The Role The Legal team takes on a varied role, advising the business on a wide variety of non-contentious issues with a particular emphasis on Commercial Contracts. As well as this, the highly supportive function will give the successful applicant new skills related to Financial Services matters, working in a regulated market, IP, Data Protection and Company Secretarial; this really is a superb opportunity for someone to enhance their CV and pick up a broader skill set! Reporting to the Head of Legal, this is a varied role with scope to focus on areas which are of particular interest to you. You will work as part of a team alongside the General Counsel, Head of Legal and two other solicitors. The in-house legal team advises on a wide range of areas (with external support where necessary) including providing company secretarial support. There is scope to agree areas of responsibility based on interest and experience, and training in any areas of law can be provided. Requirements: The successful candidate will be Commercial Lawyer with c. 1-4 years' PQE with an interest in financial services or other relevant experience.
