This business is consistently ranked as a leader in its field, as well as having a highly influential and award-winning legal function.
Our FTSE listed client is a leading provider of services to major public and private sector entities, and it's client base is a who's who of Blue-chip companies and notable public institutions. The Group is entering into an exciting period of growth and expansion due to a recent acquisition and is looking to bring in a new Senior Counsel to work on some of their most critical sectors.
The business played a key role in the UK's pandemic response, supporting the government on healthcare and mass testing in addition to servicing its BAU clients.
Reporting into the Group Legal Director, the successful candidate will be part of a close knit legal team, responsible for identifying and delivering sound, pragmatic solutions to complex and rapidly changing situations.
The role will principally focus on commercial legal matters related to bids, tenders, contracts and renewals. The Senior Legal Counsel will negotiate high value contracts with public and private sector clients, encompassing building maintenance, security, support staff, catering and landscapes across a range of sectors.
The Senior Counsel will also have the opportunity to assist on contentious and M&A matters. They will help develop and roll out new policies and procedures, provide transactional support and risk management duties, and will help to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a senior level role with a high degree of responsibility and involvement in key business transactions and decisions, with superb stakeholder interaction. It is envisaged that you will have circa 3+ years PQE as a commercial lawyer with strong contracts skills, however we will consider applications from candidates outside this range with suitable skills and knowledge.
Applicants with existing knowledge and experience of public procurement are actively encouraged. Similarly, any existing experience of contentious matters would be beneficial but not viewed as a necessity.
This is a superb opportunity to join a highly recognisable FTSE-listed business which operates on a huge scale across multiple sectors. On offer is a strong salary and package, a fantastic office location and a good level of flexibility.
