A recruiter’s life for me…

It’s well known that recruitment is one of the most exciting and fast paced industries to work in.

I’ve been with BCL nearly 5 months now and so I thought it was the perfect time to take a moment to reflect. It’s month end today end and another busy week is coming to a close. We all agree that the days are flying by at the moment and so it made me think, what do I do on a daily basis that makes time pass so quickly? The answer is a great deal of things… And I then I came to the realisation that these things are the reason that I’m incredibly enjoying what I’m doing!

There’s never a dull day in recruitment and not one day is the same. We’re constantly in touch with our clients or speaking to new people and that’s what makes each day diverse and exciting. It’s a job that affords you the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and it’s a job where you make friends, not just contacts. I’m also allowed a lot of autonomy with regards to how I go about my day which makes all the difference.

Don’t get me wrong, the role comes with its challenges (as do most). It takes a lot of man hours of phone calls, meetings, and emails, but when you have taken someone through the whole recruitment process then secured them their dream job - knowing that you have helped change someone’s life for the better gives it gives you THE most amazing feeling. The job satisfaction you get from this doesn’t get much better!
