  • Trethowans has announced the relocation of its Southampton office to Botleigh Grange Office Campus at Hedge End from Rockstone Place.
  • Robert Draper, who re-joined Willans as a partner earlier in 2014 has been appointed as head of residential property.

  • NorthEdge Capital has invested £15m in Cheshire based industrial disease firm Roberts Jackson. Nick Townsend joins the board as finance director and Paul Hewitt as chairman, together with founders Karen Jackson CEO, and Oliver Jackson, strategy director. Gladys Swaim-Rutter and Lorna Vanderkamp have been promoted to director and are equity shareholders.

July

  • Humphries Kirk has welcomed solicitor Laura Staples and chartered legal executives Alison Lock and Peppy Griffiths.
  • Lyons Davidson has made a number of appointments in the Bristol office. Claimant specialist Biddy Strong and civil litigation specialist Jonathan Calverley have been appointed as senior managers. The following have been appointed as principal associates; Karen Maher and Scott Taylor in civil litigation and claimant specialist Joanna Laidlaw. Alex Denyer and Michael Greybanks have been appointed as senior associates.   • Gill Akaster associate Catherine Bailey has been accepted as a member of the national association Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).

Jenny Legg has been welcomed at Laceys Solicitors as a solicitor in the corporate and commercial department. Jocelyn Ormond has been welcomed at Simmons & Simmons as a corporate partner. Clarke Willmott has announced a number of partner appointments. These are: Anna-Liisa Blanks-Walden in construction,  Joanne Carter and Amy Rudrum in property litigation, Paul Hazeldine in private property and agriculture, Simon Smith in corporate, Laurence Lacey and Simon Day in property and Kerry Fifield in clinical negligence. Foot Anstey has appointed James Falle, Stephen Ovenden and Thomas Williams as partners. Wilsons has appointed James Johnson as a partner in corporate.
