Interview with Daniel Hall, Head of Corporate Eversheds

Q. Firstly, where do you work and what is your role?

I work at Eversheds in Manchester and I'm head of corporate at the firm

Q. Why did you choose a career in law?

My dad told me to!

Q. What attracted you to your particular specialism?

I didn't want to convey houses!

Q. What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

Completitions & satisfied clients

Q. What particular challenges are you facing or have you faced in these tougher times?

Paying £100 to fill my car with fuel which is a disgrace seeing 80% of it is tax!

Q. Where do you think will be the opportunities for growth within the legal profession over the next couple of years?

Domestically - renewable energy work and we already have 45 overseas offices

Q. What's been your most enjoyable or high profile recent piece of work?

Buying Liverpool, Durham Tees and Doncaster Sheffield Airports for Vancouver Airport Services. It was an extremely complicated and demanding case.

Q. What inspires you when it comes to your work?

The picture of my three children in my office

Q. Do you work by a particular mantra or motto in your business life?

Winners can smile and losers can please themselves
