A highly respected international law firm is seeking a talented Transactional Construction Projects Associate with a minimum of 2 years' PQE to join its Manchester-based team. This is a standout opportunity to work with one of the most experienced construction law teams in the UK, recognised for delivering landmark real estate, energy, and infrastructure developments both nationally and globally.
The Role:
This role sits within a market-leading Construction & Engineering team that advises on complex, high-value projects, often setting the benchmark for innovation and legal excellence in the sector. The Manchester team leads on the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and energy matters, with access to an international network of legal specialists across the wider firm.
Key responsibilities include:
Advising on the drafting and negotiation of construction and engineering contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements.
Acting for a wide range of clients including developers, government authorities, contractors, funders, investors, and consultants.
Supporting projects across multiple sectors such as nuclear energy, major urban regeneration, high-speed rail, and international hotel and leisure developments.
Collaborating with leading partners and legal directors, offering real-time exposure to some of the most iconic projects in the industry.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with:
A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in construction, engineering or major projects, ideally from a leading commercial practice.
Strong contract drafting skills and experience advising on a range of procurement structures and standard forms.
Excellent academic background and strong communication skills.
A commercial and client-focused approach to legal practice.
The ability to manage complex matters efficiently and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
