A time for reflection on the residential property market in 2015 and what 2016 will bring

As a manager ofthe only dedicated team of consultants specialising solely in residential property recruitment across the Midlands and South, we’re experts in our field and are being instructed daily with new roles, some offering a step into management as well as straight forward fee earning.

As 2015 draws to a close, we can confidently say it has been a busy one when it comes to residential property recruitment across the regions with firms large and small.  Lawyers of all levels of experience have been highly sought after and there doesn’t appear to be any let up as we look toward 2016. So whilst you may be thinking about turkey and tinsel and all things Christmas, be reassured that firms are still actively recruiting into their residential conveyancing teams in the run up to the Xmas break with interviews a plenty for early January.

Whether you’re a junior paralegal with c6 months experience in plot conveyancing, a licensed conveyancer with c3 years experience or a solicitor heading up a department dealing with a mix of residential and commercial property matters, we are sure to have a number of roles to transform your career, giving you the promotion you deserve.

So with increased lending activity in the mortgage market, wages increasing, inflation remaining low, the Government’s recent announcements on house building in its Autumn Statement and awareness and access to schemes such as Help-to-Buy(as well as the extended Help-to-Buy and Help to Buy ISA), the general consensus of opinion is that consumers are feeling optimistic about getting on or moving up the property ladder. November saw overall house purchase approvals climb to 70,511, up 1.3% from 69,630 in October to reach the highest monthly total seen since August this year. This is great news for residential property lawyers as it seems the housing market will be sustainable for the foreseeable future.
