BCL Graduates supports BPP Birmingham Spring Careers Fair
On the 27th April, BCL Graduates attended the Spring Careers Fair at BPP University in Birmingham. The fair was a great opportunity for students who are soon to complete their BPTC, GDL, LPC or LLB to meet companies who can provide them with employment opportunities after their studies. Those in attendance included Shakespeare Martineau, Irwin Mitchell, Deutsche Bank Legal team, LPC Law, Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Both under graduates and post graduates attended the fair, looking for future employment options as well as seeking specific advice to help them in their job search and through the recruitment process such as CV writing and interview preparation. We spoke to a number of graduates anxious about their future options and how to get their legal career started as well as those looking for paralegal roles whilst applying for training contracts. We were on hand to offer advice and assistance on how to strengthen their CV/job applications, what employers are really looking for in a CV and at interview and what options are open to them including other avenues to qualification, such as CILEX or CLC.
