FELT Breakout Event
For anyone who hasn’t been to a Breakout event I thoroughly recommend it!

Last year BCL Legal Manchester sponsored this event but I didn’t actually participate in a room, so I was determined to get involved this year! It is a great opportunity to get to know people and see how you respond under pressure! I am very pleased to say my group, which included Mary Nowell from BCL legal, Tom Wright from Aspinall Wright and Fern Gordon from Pannone Corporate, did “break-out” of our room and it was really interesting how everyone’s different approaches to problem solving all contributed to our ultimately successful escape from the room.
At the post-breakout drinks, we all had a great opportunity to chat to those who attended and once again I am reminded how key FELT events are for those training at smaller firms. A big thank you to Adam Hattersley for organising another fantastic event.

“Having attended myself last year, I knew how fantastic the Breakout event was and I was keen to run the same again this year as FELT secretary. BCL Legal kindly sponsored the event again and it was a great success. Speaking to people afterwards at the post-breakout drinks everyone seemed to have had a great time. As with all FELT events there was nice mix of attendees from a wide range of firms and skill sets, giving trainees from smaller firms the opportunity to meet people in similar positions across the Manchester legal community. I would like to give a big thanks to BCL Legal for all its support in making the night happen.”
It is definitely time to get your CV in order as we are already have interviews taking place for NQs qualifying in September; it seems to be getting earlier and earlier! This is due to a sustained growth in the corporate and property markets but also an increasingly buoyant litigation market. Firms in both the top and mid tiers have already started to anticipate their needs for September 2016.
