Commercial Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor | Healthcare Sector | 4+ PQE | Leading National Firm | Birmingham | Full or Part-Time (4 Days)
BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national firm seeking to expand its Commercial team in Birmingham with the addition of an Associate or Senior Associate solicitor. This opportunity sits within a top-ranked Legal 500 and Chambers team, renowned for its specialist expertise in the healthcare and wider public sectors.
The team advises an impressive portfolio of clients, including NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, and public bodies. This role would suit an experienced commercial solicitor (minimum 4 years' PQE) with a background in healthcare or public sector work-whether from private practice or in-house.
The firm offers a collaborative, friendly environment with genuine flexibility, including remote working and the option to work four days a week.
The Role
As a Senior Associate in the Commercial team, you will:
· Advise on a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including arrangements between public/public and public/private sector bodies.
· Act on joint ventures, outsourcing, insourcing, shared services, and integrated models of care.
· Provide governance and regulatory advice in healthcare settings, including on pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
· Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, real estate, procurement, employment and finance teams.
· Supervise and support junior lawyers.
· Take an active role in business development and client relationship management.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
· Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 4+ years' PQE.
· Have strong commercial contracts experience, ideally in the healthcare or wider public sector.
· Have experience advising NHS or independent healthcare providers.
· Be confident managing complex client matters and projects.
· Public sector procurement experience is desirable but not essential.
