BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a nationally recognised and expanding construction team at a leading UK law firm in their search for a Construction Disputes Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate (2-8 PQE). The Role
This opportunity is within a growing construction disputes team that has doubled its revenue in the last four years. The successful candidate will work as part of a specialist disputes sub-team, collaborating with senior lawyers on complex, high-profile matters.
Key aspects of the role include:
· Advising on a broad range of contentious construction matters including final account claims, complex defect disputes, and major PFI/project issues.
· Acting for a variety of high-profile clients including NHS Trusts, local authorities, housing associations, and infrastructure developers.
· Exposure to nationally significant matters including:
o Multi-million-pound PFI disputes and adjudications.
o Grenfell-related and fire safety litigation (including work on over 65 high-rise buildings).
o High-profile compensation claims, NEC and JCT contract disputes, and Court of Appeal litigation.
· Working in a genuinely supportive, low-ego team with autonomy and trust from the outset.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
· Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2-8 years' PQE in construction litigation or general commercial litigation with a keen interest in the construction sector.
· Demonstrate excellent analytical and drafting skills and be confident in running their own caseload with partner support as needed.
· Bring a proactive, team-oriented approach and be comfortable working with autonomy.
· Be interested in complex, high-value work, particularly in the public sector (although the team also services major private sector clients).
· PFI experience is advantageous but not essential.
