Corporate Senior Associate - 5+ PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working
BCL Legal is working with a nationally recognised law firm with one of the largest and most active corporate teams in the UK, consistently ranked in the top three nationally for M&A activity. Due to continued growth and an exceptional pipeline of work, the Birmingham office is now looking to appoint a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to its thriving corporate practice.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing corporate team with deep sector expertise in Health & Social Care and Dental work, alongside a broader corporate client base spanning national and international businesses. The Birmingham team has seen rapid expansion over the past two years, offering a superb platform for career growth.
You'll be advising on a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on M&A, private equity, group restructures, and general corporate advisory. Working alongside nationally respected partners, you'll take a lead role on transactions, contribute to business development, and support the mentoring of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advising on M&A transactions, reorganisations, shareholder agreements, and general corporate law matters
· Playing a key role in transactions from start to finish, including direct client contact and managing timelines
· Supporting business development initiatives and identifying opportunities for cross-selling
· Mentoring and supporting junior team members
· Contributing to the continued development of the Birmingham office's growing corporate offering
Candidate Requirements:
We're seeking a highly motivated and commercially focused lawyer who brings:
· 5+ years' PQE in corporate law, ideally with experience in M&A and private equity
· Excellent technical skills and the ability to draft with clarity and precision
· A proactive and collaborative working style, with a track record of building strong client relationships
· Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice
· A desire to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic, entrepreneurial team
