Real Estate Associate - Residential Development (4+ PQE) | Top National Firm | Birmingham / Hybrid Working BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a leading national law firm in the recruitment of a Real Estate Associate with experience in residential development to join their highly regarded and growing Birmingham team. This opportunity is ideal for a 4+ PQE solicitor seeking high-quality work, greater client engagement, and a clear path for progression within a highly supportive and collaborative environment. The Role As an experienced member of the Residential Development team, you will be trusted with greater responsibility across a broad and complex caseload, supporting some of the UK's largest and most well-known housebuilders, developers, and landowners. You'll also play an important role in supervising junior lawyers and helping to shape and strengthen long-term client relationships. Key responsibilities will include: · Acting as a No.2 on residential development transactions, including site acquisitions, strategic land matters, and complex title issues. · Drafting and negotiating key documentation such as options, promotion agreements, overage deeds, and ancillary documents. · Conducting and reviewing due diligence, including title investigation and reporting. · Acting as a point of contact for clients, delivering practical and commercially focused advice. · Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals within the team. · Playing an active role in business development and client relationship management. · Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to provide a joined-up, client-focused service. · Working on a hybrid basis, typically 2-3 days per week in the Birmingham office. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in residential development or broader real estate work with relevant experience. You will also bring: · A strong track record of assisting on development transactions, ideally acting for housebuilders. · Confident drafting and technical skills, along with excellent commercial awareness. · Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff. · Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach. · A proactive and collaborative working style, with an interest in contributing to team development and client growth. · A desire to progress your career within a firm that supports long-term development.
