Construction Solicitor | NQ-3 PQE | National Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a medium sized national law firm in its search for a Construction Solicitor to join its highly regarded team in Birmingham working on a caseload of predominantly construction dispute matters. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with hybrid working as standard and flexible working options considered. Excellent salary and benefits on offer. The Role As a Construction Solicitor in this team, you would: · Join a nationally recognised and Legal 500 / Chambers-ranked construction practice. · Focus primarily on contentious construction matters, including complex adjudications, litigation (including Protocol work), strategic advice, mediation, and other dispute resolution mechanisms. · Work closely with a well-established client base, including national developers, housebuilders, major contractors, and leading housing associations. · Have the opportunity to undertake some non-contentious construction work, if desired, though this is not a requirement. · Receive strong supervision and one-to-one development within a supportive and collaborative environment. · Benefit from early client exposure and the chance to become involved in marketing, networking, and business development activities. · Enjoy the backing of a team that values client understanding, commercial pragmatism, and solution-focused legal advice. About You To be successful in your application for this Construction Solicitor vacancy, you will have: · NQ to 3 years' PQE, with demonstrable experience or a strong interest in contentious construction matters. · Ideally trained or currently working within a specialist construction team, or completed a construction seat during training. · A client-focused approach with the ability to manage a caseload with light-touch supervision. · Excellent communication, drafting and analytical skills. · A team player mindset with a positive attitude and commercial outlook.
