The Firm & Team This national firm boasts a highly regarded Commercial Property practice, consistently ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK. The housebuilder sector team is multi-disciplinary and integrated across the firm's national offices. Key highlights include: · Acting for some of the UK's largest housebuilders · Providing cradle-to-grave legal support across the development lifecycle - from land acquisition and planning to site setup and plot sales · Led by senior lawyers with deep in-house and sector-specific experience · A collaborative and friendly team culture with a genuine focus on mentoring and development The Role As a Solicitor or Associate in the Birmingham office, you will: · Support partners and senior lawyers on residential development work including acquisitions, disposals, site assembly, and land promotion · Be exposed to a broad mix of real estate matters to ensure variety in your workload and a rounded foundation in property law · Assist with client relationship management and business development initiatives · Work directly with major national and regional housebuilders, gaining high-value experience and sector knowledge · Build your technical expertise and commercial acumen in a high-performing, supportive team environment About You To be successful in this role, you will have: · A minimum of 1 year PQE in commercial property, ideally gained at a recognised real estate practice · An interest in or exposure to the residential development or housebuilder sector (not essential but advantageous) · Strong academics and a high level of technical proficiency · A team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills · Ambition to develop your career and build strong client relationships Whether you're currently focused on housebuilder work or are seeking to pivot into this growing and high-profile area, the firm is open to applications from bright, driven property lawyers looking for their next step.
