Real Estate - Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure Associate | 3+ PQE | International Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a leading national law firm in their search for a skilled Real Estate Associate to join their Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major energy, utilities, and infrastructure projects for a wide range of clients, including national and local government bodies, as well as public-private partnerships. The Opportunity: As part of this dynamic team, you'll focus on property-related legal matters across energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. You'll work closely with clients and colleagues from various disciplines to deliver legal services across large-scale regeneration and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include: · Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property agreements, including leases, easements, wayleaves, licenses, and land acquisition documents. · Advising on land rights and title issues, conducting due diligence, and resolving title defects. · Managing land access and property rights for infrastructure development and maintenance. · Supporting land assembly for utility projects (e.g. grid upgrades, pipeline installations). · Negotiating and securing access or third-party rights and consents. · Advising on infrastructure agreements and land access strategies, particularly for energy projects. · Providing legal project management support to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. What We're Looking For: We are looking for a qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE who has strong experience in commercial real estate law, ideally with exposure to utilities or infrastructure sectors. You will need to be comfortable managing complex transactions and working with a range of stakeholders, including public sector bodies and regulated industries. Key requirements include: · 3+ years PQE as a qualified solicitor in England & Wales. · Strong experience in commercial real estate law, ideally with knowledge of statutory undertaker rights and land law. · Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. · The ability to manage complex transactions and work with multiple stakeholders. · Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries is desirable. · A collaborative mindset and experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
