Commercial Contracts Lawyer - 2-4 PQE | Leading International Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a leading global law firm with the recruitment of an Associate to join its prestigious Commercial team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven solicitor to join a dynamic, well-respected team that advises on a wide range of high-value, complex commercial contracts for a broad spectrum of clients, both in the UK and internationally. The Opportunity The role sits within the Commercial Contracts team, working closely with colleagues across the firm's national and international network. You will have exposure to a diverse range of work, from day-to-day commercial agreements to large-scale outsourcing deals and multi-jurisdictional projects. Your clients will span multiple sectors, including transport, utilities, industrial engineering, aerospace, and automotive, giving you the chance to work on high-profile, strategic contracts for both private and public sector clients. Key Responsibilities: · Advising on a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, from high-value, long-term strategic arrangements to more routine, business-as-usual matters. · Collaborating with private and public sector clients across multiple regions, advising on both local and international projects. · Supporting corporate and real estate teams on transactions and cross-disciplinary matters. · Contributing to business development activities, including client briefings and articles. · Building strong working relationships with colleagues in other practice groups and offices nationally and internationally. About You The firm is looking for candidates with around 2-4 years of PQE who have: · A strong foundation in commercial and contract law, with a detailed knowledge of various types of contracts and legal frameworks. · Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a sharp eye for detail. · The ability to manage competing client demands and deliver to tight deadlines across multiple projects. · Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients from diverse sectors and regions. · A genuine interest in business development and an eagerness to contribute to the firm's growth. Those applying at the Associate level should also have some experience supporting junior colleagues and a desire to participate in client relationship development.
