Real Estate Professional Support Lawyer | 7+ PQE | Competitive Salary | International Law Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home) | Full Time BCL Legal is pleased to be working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to support its highly regarded Real Estate practice in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to move into a strategic, non-fee-earning role at the heart of a forward-thinking practice. The role would suit an established PSL or a senior real estate fee earner looking to transition into knowledge, innovation and training. The Role Working closely with partners, lawyers and business services teams, the Professional Support Lawyer will play a pivotal role in driving excellence in legal service delivery and supporting the ongoing growth of the real estate practice. Key responsibilities will include: · Leading professional development and training initiatives, including designing and delivering bespoke training programmes, workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions in the real estate team. · Providing mentoring, coaching and technical guidance to lawyers at all levels. · Developing and implementing an effective knowledge management strategy aligned with the firm's wider objectives. · Reviewing, updating and maintaining the real estate precedent bank and developing a suite of high-quality standardised documents. · Leading the assessment and implementation of document automation and AI solutions to improve efficiency and consistency. · Conducting strategic legal research to identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities within real estate transactional work. · Contributing to thought leadership through client briefings, articles, reports and other publications. · Supporting client engagement and relationship management initiatives alongside lawyers and business development teams. About You To be considered for this role, you will have: · Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of seven years' PQE. · Strong technical expertise and practical experience in real estate transactional work. · A genuine interest in knowledge management, training, innovation and legal technology. · Experience with precedents, document automation, AI tools or legal innovation (desirable but not essential). · Excellent drafting, communication and presentation skills. · A strategic mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. · Strong organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commercial approach.
