Intellectual Property Knowledge Lawyer | International Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Knowledge Lawyer to join a market-leading Intellectual Property (IP) team. Based in Birmingham, this role is ideal for an experienced IP lawyer or current Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) looking for a new challenge. As part of a high-performing and collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to shape thought leadership, drive training initiatives, and provide vital legal support in a dynamic and innovative environment. Main Purpose of the Role In this pivotal role, you will work closely with partners and fee earners to deliver exceptional legal and technical support across the firm's IP practice. Key responsibilities will include developing and delivering training, creating client-facing content, and providing research and strategic input into business development initiatives. As part of a team that values teamwork, excellence, and forward-thinking, you will contribute to delivering cutting-edge legal advice and fostering an environment of continuous learning. Key Responsibilities · Keep up to date with all relevant UK and EU case law and legal developments related to IP. · Undertake research and respond to legal queries across all areas of IP. · Lead the development and delivery of internal training sessions and seminars for clients. · Write articles, alerts, and develop podcast content for external publication. · Work alongside IP partners to provide horizon scanning and contribute to business development strategies. · Curate and update the team's know-how database and precedent bank. · Assist with the group's digital output, including writing for the firm's website and managing social media content. · Provide expert support to the team in all areas of IP law and contribute to the firm's thought leadership programme. What We Are Looking For · A strong general IP background, ideally with 6+ years of post-qualification experience. · Experience or interest in Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) or Knowledge Lawyer roles is advantageous. · A thorough understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and research tools (both electronic and traditional). · Strong drafting and communication skills, both written and oral. · The ability to work independently and proactively, under time pressure. · A passion for training and engaging with others at all levels. · A collaborative mindset, working well as part of a small team and the wider group.
