Construction Disputes Solicitor / Associate | 1-5 PQE | National Firm | Birmingham An award-winning UK law firm is seeking a Construction Disputes Solicitor or Associate (1-5 PQE) to join its nationally recognised team, with the option to be based in Birmingham. With a strong pipeline of high-value contentious work and an impressive client roster across the public and private sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and growing national practice. The Role This opportunity sits within a highly regarded construction disputes team operating across multiple UK offices, working seamlessly on complex and high-profile matters. Key aspects of the role include: · Advising on a broad range of contentious construction matters, including final account disputes, loss and expense claims, defects and delay claims. · Acting on adjudications, mediations and court proceedings, including high-value and multi-party disputes. · Supporting on complex PFI/PPP and infrastructure-related disputes. · Working with a diverse client base including local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, developers, contractors and funders. · Exposure to significant matters such as: o Multi-million-pound PFI and infrastructure disputes. o High-value adjudications involving payment and contractual interpretation issues. o Complex building safety and cladding-related claims. · Collaborating closely with partners and colleagues across a national platform. · Contributing to business development initiatives and client relationship management. About You You will ideally have: · 1-5 years' PQE with experience in construction or commercial disputes. · Exposure to adjudication and/or litigation, ideally within the construction or projects space. · Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills. · The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a wider team. · Excellent communication skills and a commercial, client-focused approach. · A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a genuine interest in developing within a leading construction team.
