Inquests Associate/Senior Associate (5+ PQE) - National Law Firm - Birmingham/Hybrid BCL Legal is pleased to be working with a highly regarded national law firm seeking an experienced Inquests Lawyer to join its established and growing Health & Care Regulatory team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer to join a leading specialist practice advising clients across the health, social care, education and public sectors. You will work on a varied caseload, handling both advisory and contentious matters, with a particular focus on supporting clients through inquest proceedings and related advocacy. The role offers the chance to work alongside a team of recognised experts on complex, high-value matters while continuing to develop your technical expertise, client relationships and business development skills. Key responsibilities include: · Managing a varied caseload of health, social care and regulatory matters · Advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues · Representing clients at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals · Building strong client relationships and supporting business development activity · Contributing to the supervision and development of junior team members You will ideally have: · 5+ years' PQE · Strong experience in health and social care law · Experience advising clients in relation to inquests, including advocacy experience · Excellent technical ability with a practical and commercial approach · A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills This firm is known for its supportive culture, commitment to professional development and flexible hybrid working approach.
