Corporate Associate | NQ-2 PQE | Leading UK Law Firm | Hybrid Working | Birmingham BCL Legal is pleased to be working with a highly regarded UK law firm on the appointment of a Corporate Associate to join its established Corporate team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor through to 2 years' PQE to join a collaborative and ambitious team advising on a broad range of corporate matters. The successful candidate will work on high-quality transactions for an impressive client base, gaining exposure to mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, spin-out transactions and general corporate advisory work. The Role Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will: · Advise on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and spin-out transactions. · Draft and negotiate transaction documents and corporate legal advice. · Assist with the management and delivery of corporate transactions from instruction through to completion. · Liaise with clients, advisers and other third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently. · Provide ongoing company law and corporate governance advice to a varied client base. · Contribute to business development initiatives and help strengthen existing client relationships. About You The successful candidate will have: · Newly qualified solicitor up to 2 years' post-qualification experience. · Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales. · Experience gained during at least one Corporate seat. · A genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in corporate law. · Strong legal drafting and technical skills. · Excellent organisational and time management abilities. · Commercial awareness and a proactive, client-focused approach. · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
