Real Estate Solicitor | Associate | 1-3 PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham / Hybrid Working BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm in its search for an Associate to join its growing Commercial Real Estate team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented real estate solicitor to work on a broad range of high-quality commercial property matters, advising an impressive client base of investors, developers, occupiers and lenders within a supportive, nationally recognised practice. The Role: As an Associate in this team, you will: · Advise a diverse range of clients, including commercial occupiers, property developers, investors, landowners and lenders on a broad spectrum of commercial real estate matters. · Handle acquisitions and disposals of commercial property and development land, including investment property transactions and sale-and-leaseback arrangements. · Manage landlord and tenant matters, including lease negotiations, lease renewals, licences, assignments and other associated documentation. · Support clients on complex development projects, including development agreements, conditional contracts, infrastructure agreements and onward disposals to investors. · Undertake property due diligence, title investigations and the preparation of comprehensive reports on title. · Assist with real estate finance transactions and the property aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals. · Supervise and support junior colleagues on property portfolio management matters, contributing to the development of the wider team. · Work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on high-quality transactions, with the opportunity to develop your own client relationships, profile and practice. · Contribute to business development and networking initiatives, helping to strengthen the team's presence in the Birmingham market and beyond. Candidate Requirements: The successful candidate will demonstrate: · Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 1-3 years' PQE. · Strong experience in commercial real estate, with a solid grounding in transactional property work. · Experience across a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work and property development. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. · A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure. · The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. · An interest in business development, networking and building a long-term career within a growing real estate practice.
