Corporate/M&A Due Diligence Lawyer - Global Firm - Manchester - Hybrid Working
An elite US-headquartered law firm with a major global footprint is looking to expand its Manchester-based M&A due diligence team. This is a rare opportunity to join a centre of excellence within one of the world's most profitable and prestigious firms-working on high-value, cross-border transactions, often with billion-pound deal values.
This is not due diligence in the traditional sense. The team is at the forefront of using AI and cutting-edge technology to transform how due diligence is delivered, and plays a central role in supporting global M&A transactions, particularly in the UK and US markets.
What's on offer:
· High-level exposure to UK and international M&A and Private Equity deals
· Deep involvement in complex contractual analysis across a wide range of sectors
· Opportunity to work closely with deal teams across the US, UK, and beyond
· Collaborative, tech-forward environment with a genuine work-life balance
· 1 day a week in the office - hybrid model
Key Responsibilities:
· Reviewing corporate documents including contracts, leases, organisational docs, and licence agreements
· Identifying key provisions and red flags such as anti-assignment clauses, change-of-control triggers, and MFN provisions
· Producing clear summaries to support transactional decision-making
· Collaborating with global legal teams on a diverse range of M&A matters
Who should apply:
This role would suit a 2+ PQE lawyer from a corporate, commercial, banking, real estate, or even litigation background with strong contract review skills and a commercial mindset. An interest in innovation and legal tech is also welcomed.
You'll join a high-performing and friendly team with strong support and a clear path for development. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer.
