An exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly regarded national law firm for a Construction Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join a leading, growing team. This firm has a strong reputation in the construction sector and provides legal expertise across a range of industries, including healthcare, local government, housing, and education.
About the Role
This role offers the chance to work on non-contentious construction projects and be involved in high-value, complex instructions across a wide range of sectors. You will advise major clients including government departments, local authorities, NHS Trusts, and housing associations on the delivery of projects ranging from new hospitals to social housing and large-scale infrastructure developments.
You will gain hands-on experience negotiating construction and engineering contracts, using industry-standard forms such as JCT and NEC, as well as supply chain contracts on PPP projects. The firm is involved in some of the most prominent projects in the UK.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a solicitor with 1-3 years PQE, ideally with experience in non-contentious construction work, though candidates with a balanced construction background (both contentious and non-contentious) are encouraged to apply. You should be able to:
Demonstrate strong drafting and legal analysis skills
Communicate effectively with clients and coordinate advice with other fee earners
Handle complex issues in a pragmatic, commercial manner
Be eager to develop your career within the construction sector
