Exciting Agricultural & Rural Property Opportunity in Cumbria
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a growing law firm based in Penrith, Cumbria. This diverse and rewarding role focuses on agricultural, rural, and landed estate matters, as well as broader property law. You will be advising a variety of clients, including landowners, farmers, estate managers, and private clients, offering practical, commercially aware advice on a wide range of property-related issues.
Our client has a well-established presence in the region, with a strong reputation in the agricultural and rural property sector. The firm is looking to expand its Property & Agriculture practice in Cumbria, making this a fantastic time to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advising clients on the acquisition, disposal, leasing, and management of land, farms, and rural estates.
· Managing a full spectrum of property transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinancing of residential and commercial properties.
· Offering guidance on tenancies, licenses, rights of way, easements, and covenants affecting land.
· Supporting clients with succession planning, diversification projects, and development opportunities.
· Collaborating with colleagues across private client, corporate, real estate, construction, and agriculture teams to deliver a comprehensive service.
· Building and nurturing strong client relationships, particularly with landowners, farmers, and estate managers.
· Contributing to business development initiatives and increasing brand awareness to support firm growth.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a qualified solicitor with significant experience in property law. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in practicing law in Cumbria, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to build rapport while offering pragmatic, solutions-focused advice. You should be a proactive self-starter with strong technical ability, a committed work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
