Associate - Regeneration, Development & Infrastructure | Manchester
We are working on an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join a leading global legal and business services provider within its Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure team in Manchester.
About the Role:
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded and fast-growing team specialising in complex infrastructure, development, and land rights matters. The team sits within a global platform and supports a wide range of major projects across utilities, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
The role offers exposure to high-profile and technically challenging work involving land assembly, property rights, and infrastructure delivery, working closely with both public and private sector clients on nationally significant projects.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, supporting the delivery of large-scale mandates and playing an active role in project-driven legal work.
What You'll Do:
· Draft, review, and negotiate a range of property and infrastructure documentation including leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition agreements.
· Advise on land rights, title matters, and undertake detailed property due diligence.
· Support land assembly processes for major infrastructure and utilities projects.
· Manage land access arrangements and negotiate third-party rights and consents.
· Advise on infrastructure agreements and wider land access strategies, particularly within energy and utilities sectors.
· Assist with legal project management across large-scale infrastructure mandates.
· Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams and with key stakeholders in regulated and public sector environments.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3+ years' PQE.
· Strong background in commercial real estate, ideally with exposure to utilities, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
· Excellent drafting, negotiation, and technical legal skills.
· Experience managing complex transactions with multiple stakeholders.
· Strong understanding of land law and statutory undertaker rights.
· Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries is advantageous.
· Collaborative approach with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
· Strong organisational and project management skills.
