Senior Real Estate Finance Lawyer | Manchester city centre
We are working with a well-regarded UK commercial law firm with a strong reputation for high-quality transactional work and a loyal, established client base.
About the Role:
This opportunity sits within a highly respected and growing Real Estate Finance team, known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships and high-quality work. The firm offers a supportive and approachable environment, alongside a strong work-life balance compared with many larger City practices, while still providing exposure to complex and high-value transactions.
Due to continued growth, the team is looking to appoint a senior Real Estate Finance lawyer to take a leading role within the practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to step into a position with real autonomy, involvement in business development, and the chance to play a key role in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
The role will involve acting on a broad range of real estate finance matters, primarily acting for lenders on complex property finance transactions, and taking responsibility for matters from inception through to completion.
What You'll Do:
· Lead and manage real estate finance transactions from inception through to completion
· Act for lenders on a range of complex property finance matters
· Draft and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements and security documentation
· Supervise and support junior team members, including associates, NQs and paralegals
· Develop and maintain strong client relationships
· Contribute to business development and new client generation
· Support wider strategic initiatives within the team
The Ideal Candidate:
· Experienced real estate finance lawyer (likely Senior Associate level or equivalent)
· Strong background in property finance transactions, ideally acting for lenders
· Excellent technical drafting and negotiation skills
· Strong commercial awareness and client-facing ability
· Confident in supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
· Proactive, collaborative and comfortable taking a leading role within a team
Why This Role?
· Leading Role: Opportunity to take real ownership within a growing REF team
· High-Quality Work: Exposure to complex and varied real estate finance transactions
· Strong Platform: Join a respected UK commercial firm with an excellent reputation
· Culture: Collaborative, supportive and approachable working environment
· Progression: Clear opportunity to shape your role and develop within the team
If you are an experienced Real Estate Finance lawyer looking for a senior role with autonomy, strong client exposure and genuine progression potential, we would be pleased to discuss this opportunity confidentially.
