Senior Associate/ Legal Director - Banking & Finance | Manchester
We are working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join a highly regarded and market-leading Finance team in Manchester.
About the Role:
The team sits within a well-established national practice advising a broad range of clients across the banking and finance sector, including clearing banks, private credit funds, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.
The successful candidate will join a fast-growing and highly ranked Manchester team, gaining exposure to a broad mix of complex and high-value transactions across corporate lending, leveraged finance and real estate finance work. The practice is known for its strong technical capability, collaborative culture and high-quality client base.
What You'll Do:
· Advise on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including corporate lending, leveraged finance and real estate finance transactions
· Work on regional, national and international deals across a diverse client base
· Draft and negotiate key finance documentation, including facility agreements and related security and ancillary documents
· Lead and support complex transactions from inception through to completion
· Manage transactions and coordinate with clients, counterparties and advisers
· Supervise and support junior lawyers within the team
· Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives across the team and wider practice

The Ideal Candidate:
· Strong experience in banking and finance gained within a reputable law firm
· Experience across a range of finance transactions, ideally including corporate lending, leveraged finance or real estate finance
· Excellent technical ability and strong commercial awareness
· Strong communication and client relationship skills
· Collaborative, proactive and team-oriented approach
· Ambitious with a clear desire to progress within a high-performing practice
