Supervising Lawyer - Real Estate | Manchester - 7 PQE+ Tier 1 Real Estate Team | Supervision & Development Focus | Excellent Work-Life Balance We are working with a highly regarded national law firm looking to appoint an experienced Supervising Lawyer to join its market-leading Real Estate team in Manchester. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate lawyer looking to step away from the traditional fee-earning model. The role is focused primarily on supervising, coaching and developing junior lawyers, with no requirement to carry a personal caseload. The Manchester Transactional Real Estate team forms a key part of the firm's Tier 1 national Real Estate practice, advising on high-value investment, development, landlord & tenant and portfolio transactions for a broad range of leading investors, developers, occupiers, funders, corporates and public sector clients. The Opportunity You will: · Provide supervision, coaching and technical guidance to junior lawyers, particularly those at 0-3 PQE · Support junior lawyers across landlord & tenant, property management, sales and acquisitions, development and client account work · Review work, provide constructive feedback and help lawyers develop their technical ability, commercial awareness and confidence · Work closely with Partners and senior lawyers to strengthen the team's training and development offering · Provide targeted supervision across live matters, helping junior lawyers manage workloads, deadlines and client requirements · Provide ad hoc fee-earning support to the wider Real Estate team where required, without carrying a personal caseload · Contribute to wider knowledge, training and innovation initiatives Knowledge & Development There will also be scope to work alongside the firm's Knowledge Lawyers, including: · Maintaining and developing precedents, playbooks, drafting guidance and other knowledge resources · Supporting fee-earners with technical queries, including Land Registry procedures · Designing and delivering training, workshops and know-how initiatives · Providing practical guidance on core Real Estate topics, legal developments, market trends and drafting skills · Helping to capture learning from significant matters and share it across the wider team About You The ideal candidate will be an experienced Real Estate lawyer 7 PQE+, either from private practice or in-house, with strong experience across areas such as: · Investment · Landlord & tenant · Property management · Development · Portfolio transactions You will also have a genuine interest in developing others, sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance. Experience in supervision, coaching, training, knowledge management or a PSL/Knowledge Lawyer environment would be advantageous.
