Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney (1-7 PQE) Top AmLaw Firm | New York Salary: $135,000-$175,000 BCL Legal is working with a nationally recognized, full-service law firm that is actively seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate to join its busy and growing team in New York City. This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney with a strong foundation in insurance coverage analysis and litigation to join a firm with a longstanding reputation in the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze complex insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions - Handle a mix of first-party property, general liability, personal injury, and property damage matters - Participate in litigation, including depositions, court hearings, and motion practice - Represent insurers in coverage disputes, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory judgment actions - Collaborate with a nationwide team of seasoned litigators and insurance professionals Candidate Requirements: - 1-7 years of relevant experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance litigation - Strong writing, research, and analytical skills - Prior experience with motion drafting, depositions, and court appearances - Must be admitted to the New York Bar Salary & Benefits: - Base salary: $135,000-$175,000, depending on experience - Bonus structure based on billable hour targets - Full suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) with firm contribution - Hybrid working environment available This role is ideal for an associate who wants to sharpen their expertise in a high-level insurance coverage practice and work on significant matters with national impact.
