Costs Draftsperson - Fully Remote Salary: Up to £40,000 A specialist legal services provider is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join its growing team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a costs professional who enjoys working autonomously while being part of a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role You will manage a varied caseload of claimant costs matters and be responsible for the preparation and progression of bills of costs from instruction through to completion. Key responsibilities will include: - Drafting Bills of Costs across a range of civil matters - Preparing budgets, statements of costs and Points of Dispute / Replies - Negotiating costs and assisting with settlement where appropriate - Reviewing files and advising on costs recovery strategy - Liaising with solicitors, fee earners and third parties to progress matters efficiently The Candidate - Previous experience as a Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer / Costs Negotiator - Strong knowledge of CPR and costs procedures - Experience drafting inter partes bills and associated costs documents - Ability to manage your own caseload independently - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills The Opportunity - Fully remote working - Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience - Supportive and specialist costs environment - Genuine long-term opportunity within a growing team BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
