Partner - Residential Property - Cheltenham Permanent | Full Time BCL Legal is working with a leading regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Residential Property Partner to join its Cheltenham office. This is a rare opportunity to take a lead role in growing and developing the firm's residential offering in the Gloucestershire market, with full support from the wider real estate team. The Opportunity As Partner, you will: - Lead the development of the residential property team in Cheltenham, leveraging your local knowledge and professional network. - Advise clients on all aspects of residential conveyancing, from initial instruction through to post-completion. - Draft and negotiate contracts, transfer deeds, and related documentation. - Manage transactions through to exchange and completion, ensuring a high-quality, proactive service. - Prepare completion statements, SDLT forms, and handle Land Registry processes. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, and referrers. - Contribute to marketing initiatives and business development activities to grow the team's presence locally. - Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice. - Stay up to date with developments in residential property law. Candidate Requirements - Applications are sought from established residential property lawyers with: - A proven track record in handling complex conveyancing transactions. - Existing relationships within the Cheltenham/Gloucestershire market (or the drive to establish them). - The ambition and confidence to grow and lead a local residential property team. - Strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and a client-focused approach. - Excellent communication and leadership skills.
