Principal Associate - Commercial IT & Outsourcing London (12 month FTC) I'm currently working on a standout opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer to join a leading UK firm's Commercial IT & Outsourcing team in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a genuinely high-calibre practice - widely regarded as one of the strongest commercial, IT and data privacy teams in the UK - with its own client base and business plan. The bulk of the work is not corporate support; this is a strategic, standalone commercial team advising directly into major private and public sector organisations. The role You'll be joining a collaborative and ambitious team advising on a broad range of complex and business-critical commercial contracts across sectors including automotive, aerospace, retail, food & drink, real estate, life sciences, financial services, healthcare and telecoms. The work regularly includes: - Large-scale supply chain and customer contracting programmes across multiple jurisdictions - Property and housing management arrangements, including joint ventures - First and second generation IT and business process outsourcing - National facilities management outsourcing projects - Complex logistics arrangements (UK and international) - SaaS and technology platform procurements supporting regulated businesses - Major ERP procurements and implementation projects - High-profile public sector outsourcing and transformation programmes The team advises a diverse mix of mid-sized and large businesses on both strategically critical projects and day-to-day commercial arrangements. There is a genuinely broad and interesting blend of work, and significant opportunity to deepen your experience in complex IT and outsourcing matters. About you You'll be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years' PQE and strong experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, ideally with exposure to IT, technology and outsourcing projects. You'll need to be technically strong, commercially pragmatic and comfortable handling matters with limited supervision. This role would suit someone who can quickly integrate into an established team, manage their own workload confidently and supervise junior lawyers where required.
