A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join a growing specialist costs team that supports one of the UK's leading healthcare litigation practices. The wider healthcare team has experienced significant growth in recent years and advises a broad range of healthcare clients on complex and high-value matters. This is a predominantly remote opportunity, with candidates considered from across the UK. The Role You'll be responsible for managing your own caseload of costs matters from instruction through to settlement, dealing primarily with adverse costs claims arising from multi-track litigation. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a varied caseload of costs files independently Preparing schedules of costs and bills of costs Drafting Points of Dispute Negotiating costs claims through to settlement Advising on costs-related issues throughout the lifecycle of a matter Ensuring compliance with relevant procedural requirements and deadlines Working closely with lawyers and wider stakeholders across the healthcare litigation team This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of files and is confident working autonomously while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive team environment. About You Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate: Experience managing their own costs caseload Strong drafting experience, including Points of Dispute A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant costs legislation Excellent communication, organisational and research skills Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes and procedures Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Experience handling clinical negligence or healthcare-related costs matters would be advantageous, although candidates from other litigation backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Why Apply? This is an opportunity to join a specialist team during an exciting period of growth, working on complex and high-value litigation matters within a well-established national practice. Alongside quality work and genuine responsibility, the role offers flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to develop your career within one of the fastest-growing areas of the business.
