Marine Insurance Solicitor | NQ-2 PQE | London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior solicitor to join a market-leading marine insurance and casualty practice in London. This is a rare chance to work within a highly regarded defendant personal injury, travel and regulatory team acting for major players across the maritime and travel sectors.
The Opportunity
You'll work with a broad and impressive client base including ship and yacht owners, operators, insurers, ports, cruise lines and hospitality businesses. The role offers exposure to a genuinely varied caseload spanning:
Marine personal injury claims involving crew and passengers
Catastrophic and fatal injury litigation
Jurisdictional and cross-border disputes
EL/PL claims within the ports and logistics sector
Travel claims involving cruise lines, yachts, hotels and airlines
Industrial disease claims
Regulatory and work-related death investigations involving the MCA, HSE and MAIB
Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements
This is an excellent platform for a solicitor looking to build a long-term career in marine insurance, casualty and travel litigation within a collaborative and well-established team.
The Team
You'll be joining a specialist marine PI, travel and regulatory team with a longstanding reputation for advising clients following major air, land and sea incidents. The team is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice and handling complex, high-profile matters efficiently and proactively.
About You
Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with between NQ and 2 years' PQE who can demonstrate:
Experience in personal injury and/or industrial disease litigation
The ability to manage your own files with appropriate supervision
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, commercial and client-focused approach
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
An interest in business development and building client relationships
Previous exposure to marine, travel or regulatory work would be advantageous, but strong personal injury candidates from other defendant backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
