Catastrophic Injury Solicitor

Associate / Senior Associate - Catastrophic Loss Manchester | Hybrid A leading UK law firm is looking to add an Associate / Senior Associate to its established Catastrophic Loss team in Manchester. This is a strong opportunity for a defendant personal injury lawyer with solid multi-track experience, particularly across high-value and complex catastrophic injury claims. The role: Managing a caseload of complex, multi-track personal injury and catastrophic loss claims. Handling matters from inception through to resolution, including liability, quantum and litigation strategy. Acting for insurers and corporate clients across a range of high-value claims. Experience across RTA, Employers' Liability and Public Liability matters. Leading and supporting junior team members on more complex and high-value cases. Drafting pleadings and other legal documentation, preparing for hearings and attending court where required. Negotiating settlements and providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients. Building strong, long-term relationships with key clients. About you: Qualified solicitor with around 5+ years' PQE. Strong defendant personal injury background, with experience handling multi-track catastrophic loss claims. Experience across RTA, EL and/or PL claims. Comfortable running high-value matters with claim values ranging from around £150k to £20m+. Strong technical knowledge across liability, quantum and litigation strategy. Confident dealing directly with clients and other stakeholders. Experience supporting or mentoring more junior lawyers. Strong academics and excellent communication skills.
