In-house Development Solicitor

Overview: Our client is an established housebuilder with a reputation for delivering high-quality residential homes and developments. Due to business growth and an increase in legal work, an opportunity has arisen for a circa 5 years' PQE real estate solicitor / development solicitor to join the team. Role - In-house Development Solicitor: As a dedocated In-house Development Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our clients land and planning teams on a range of residential development matters. This includes site purchase contracts, option agreements and planning documents, drafting standard documents, and instructing and liaising with external solicitors who handle plot sales. Whilst 90% of the work is residential development in focus, there is scope to get involved in wider commercial matters, with support from external solicitors and advisors. This role is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant or Associate level solicitor to move in-house into industry at a notable and reputable residential development company. You will work with a well-regarded and experienced line manager, have meaningful interaction with the business and its stakeholders, and have the opportunity to make greater commercial use of your legal knowledge and training. About you: Individuals applying for the position of In-house Development Solicitor should have at least two years' post-qualified experience and ideally circa 5 years' PQE. Ideal applicants will possess residential development experience however the hiring manager is open to considering applications for real estate solicitors with partial experience and/or an interest in undertaking residential development and strategic land acquisition work. Location: Our client is based in the North West of England / Great Manchester region so applications are encouraged from those living in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and surrounds.
