Legal Counsel

Role - Legal Counsel / Commercial Solicitor Working as part of our clients dedicated in-house legal team in Manchester, as Legal Counsel you will be exposed to a wide variety of commercial legal matters. This could include: bespoke contract negotiation and drafting; IP, branding and marketing matters; manufacturing agreements; procurement of goods and services; data privacy; commercial advice to senor stakeholders and sales teams; liaising with and instructing external solicitors and advisors; dealing with multiple territories and jurisdictions; assisting with projects and ad hoc matters; and working on wider Group commercial requirements. As Legal Counsel you will be exposed to the same varied, bespoke and interesting commercial contracts undertaken by the existing team members, with scope to pursue interests and/or areas in which you have a particular interest, strength or specialism. For example, Data Privacy, IT or IP/Marketing. The legal team are well regarded and integral to the success of the company. You will enjoy a good-degree of autonomy and responsibility, and you will have enhanced access to, and interaction with, customers and senior stakeholders, and key decision makers within the company. About you: It is anticipated that you will be a Commercial Solicitor with at least 4 years experience of commercial and contractual legal work. Individuals with particular skills and experience in IP, IT or Data Privacy are of interest however you should also possess wider general commercial and contractual knowledge and experience. Existing in-house experience is not essential although it could be advantageous. What's on offer?
