Working in support of the General Counsel & Company Secretary, and the wider legal and governance function, this Company Secretarial Assistant role is a superb opportunity for any candidate who has recently embarked on their Company Secretarial career, or is keen to do so. Specific duties and responsibilities of the Company Secretarial Assistant include: supporting the Company Secretary with the planning of the annual calendar of Governance meetings and agendas; scheduling meetings and assisting with meeting logistics; preparing agendas and Board papers; minute taking and tracking actions; filing of relevant documents to Companies House and ensuring registers are up to date; assisting with governance reporting requirements; assisting with preparation of the annual report; assisting with compliance searches and customer checks; and keeping abreast of developments in corporate governance best practice. About you: As Company Secretarial Assistant, it is anticipated that you will have a couple of years experience of company secretarial and/or corporate governance matters, or have relevant commercial legal experience as a paralegal. Candidates must possess exemplary organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A background in corporate governance or experience within a similar role would be highly advantageous. Familiarity with the Companies Act and other regulatory frameworks is desired. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and looking to make a tangible impact within a corporate secretarial function.
